Rosé Wines for April 2018

We’re excited to feature a nice selection of Rosé Wines for April 2018.

Rosatello Rosé – California’s R0satello specializes in sweet wines. They describe their Rosé as a “sweet blush wine with its tempting aromas of pomegranates and red currants.”

Elouan Rosé – This Rosé comes from Oregon, and is made from grapes collected up and down the Oregon coast. According to the winemaker, this variety provides an “intensity of fruit flavor, structure and a fresh vibrant acidity.”

Lobetia Rosé – This organic Rosé comes from Spain, made with organic grapes from the Dominio de Punctum estate, which uses an advanced biodynamic growing practice. The winemaker claims a gentle filtration helps to “keep all natural aromas and characteristics of the grape and vine.”

Dark Horse Rosé – This California Rosé  is made from Grenache, Barbera, Pinot Grigio, Tempranillo and Zinfandel. Dark Horse claims this Rosé  holds up well with a variety of foods, including backyard BBQs.

Green Flash Brewery

green-flashWe finally managed to get a  selection of beers from Green Flash Brewery. On our shelves this month, you’ll find:

West Coast IPA – Double India Pale Ale
A big double IPA, weighing in at 8.1% ABV and 95IBU. Brewed with a variety of hops: Simcoe, Columbus, Centennial, and Citra.

Soul Style IPA – India Pale Ale
This single IPA is brewed with Citra, Simcoe and Cascade hops, resulting in a “bright tropical wave of flavorful citrus and floral notes.”

Passion Fruit Kicker – Wheat Ale with Passion Green Flash brews this wheat ale with wheat malt, malted barley, passion fruit tea and passion fruit juice for a “sweet, tart, fruity flavor”.

Cantine San Marco ‘Romae’ Roma Rosso

Roma-wineOur featured wine for March comes from the Roma Region of Italy – Cantine San Marco ‘Romae’ Roma Rosso. Like most Roma wines, ‘Romae’ is a blend, made from 80% Montepulciano and 20% Sangiovese.

The wine maker describes Romae as “Intense ruby red,” with a “wide bouquet..and dry, round and persistent” flavor.

Cantine San Marco ‘Romae’ Roma Rosso consistently scores high with critics and fans alike. If you’re a fan of Italian wine, or just curious about Montepulciano grapes, consider giving this excellent wine a try, available in our Highly Recommended section.

PranQster Belgian Style Golden Ale – North East Brewing Co.

Our featured craft beer for March is PranQster, a Belgian-style Golden Ale from North Coast Brewing Co. of California.

North Coast Brewing Co. makes every effort to brew an authentic Belgian-style ale through the use of various

“…antique yeast strains that produce a floral nose, a full fruit flavor and clean finish.”

Craft beer fans seem to agree North Coast Brewing Co. has hit the mark. As of this post, PranQster sits with an average rating of over 4 out of 5.
