Bottega Rose Gold – Pinot Nero Spumante Brut Rosé


Inside this fantastically gorgeous bottle is Bottega Rose Gold. A Brut Rosé made entirely of Pinot Nero grapes grown in Italy’s Lombardy region. The Pinot Nero is handpicked, and carefully soft pressed after 24 hours in the must. The base wine is fermented a second time, before spending time in the cellar before hitting the shelves.

According to the winemaker, the liquid inside matches the bottle, a “brilliant, subtle pink color” with a taste that’s “fresh, delicate, soft, structured, with balanced acidity and a pleasant and persistent aftertaste.

Dat Booty Doe with Reagan and Bethany Oktoberfest Style Lager – Heavy Seas
Heavy Seas teamed up with morning radio show hosts Reagan and Bethany to come up with this Oktoberfest style lager, brewed to be extra malty, with “loads of bready, biscuity Munich malt and balanced with just right amount of Noble European hops.” Heavy Seas considers this a fall session beer, weighing in at 5.5% ABV.

Night Owl Pumpkin Ale – Elysian Brewing
Night Owl is a traditional pumpkin ale brewed to perfection, with pumpkin puree, pumpkin juice and roasted and raw pumpkin seeds. Also in the mix, spices you’d expect to find, including ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice. And of course, six types of malt and a bit of hops. 6.7% ABV

31 Pumpkin Spiced Lager – Duclaw Brewing Co.
Originally brewed as a one-off, 31 is once again available as a limited seasonal release. This clever brew is a traditional Munich Dunkel, with seasonal spices and pumpkin for a unique amber brew. 5.7% ABV

Voodoo Ranger Spicy Release Atomic Pumpkin – New Belgium Brewing Co.
New Belgium puts a spicier twist on pumpkin brews, with chili peppers added to the traditional seasonal spices of cinnamon and cloves. Habanero, Aji and Del Arbol peppers create “spiciness in the back of the throat that lingers…” 6.4% ABV

  • Bio Zero – Wines Without Sulfites


    Every so often we have a customer requesting a wine without added sulfites. We’ve kept our eye out and found Bio Zero, a line of “wines without sulfites” from Italy’s Cascina Del Colle.

    The Bio Zero red wine is made entirely of Montepulciano grapes, fermented in stainless steel tanks, and aged for one month. The winemaker’s notes describe:

    “red berry fruit, complemented by subtle herbaceous nuances and pleasing floral sensations…balanced, fresh, young, with good tannic texture, body and persistence.”

    Bio Zero’s white wine offering is made of Trebbiano grapes, also fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for one month. Casinca Del Colle’s notes include:

    “…fresh notes of green apple, white flowers and citrus notes…sapid, fresh, balanced, refreshing.”

    Avery Brewing Co – Liliko’l Kepolo & Maharaja IPA

    We’re delighted to welcome Avery Brewing Co to our selection of craft beers. Avery Brewing Co was founded in 1993, and has stayed often been ahead of the trends, introducing Colorado’s first packaged IPA in 1996.

    Our first selection from Avery Brewing Co continues their tradition of fantastic IPAs with Maharaja IPA, an Imperial India Pale Ale, brewed with malted barley and a hefty hop bill. Avery promises a combination of “citrus hops and caramel toffee malts”, for a “tangy, vibrant and intense” taste.

    The folks at Beer Advocate seem to agree that this is one impressive brew, holding strong at a 94 point score of 5,768 ratings as of this post.

    For something lighter to match the hot summer days, our second selection is a unique Belgian-style White Ale, brewed with passion fruit. Liliko’l Kepolo is a traditional witbier, aside from the four pounds of fruit puree per barrel. Avery suggests this canned tropical witbier as a great choice for your next BBQ or outdoor adventure.

    Liliko’l Kepolo also does well on Beer Advocate, holding strong with a 90 point score of 1,148 ratings.

    Brilla! Prosecco


    We’ve chosen a nice Italian Prosecco for our July 2020 wine selection, Brilla! This sparkling wine hails from the Prosseco DOC and is made entirely of Glera grapes. The winemaker describes Brilla! as “Delicate and complex…with fruity notes reminiscent of peach and green apple with secondar notes of acacia and lilac.” Reviewers consistently call Brilla! Prosecco a great value. A perfectly refreshing selection for these hot summer evenings.

    Maine Beer Co – Lunch India Pale Ale



    Our featured beer for July 2020 is another exciting brew from Maine Beer Company. “Lunch” is juicy IPA, named for a whale often seen off the Maine coast. The brewer’s tasting notes include flavors of “orange, grapefruit and lemon, with pine and herbal undertones”. In addition to three types of hops, Maine Beer Co. brews this IPA with variety of malts for added subtle sweetness.

    Reviewers at BeerAdvocate.com currently rate Lunch IPA as “World Class”, earning a whopping 97 point score of over 5,800 ratings.
