Bio Zero – Wines Without Sulfites

Every so often we have a customer requesting a wine without added sulfites. We’ve kept our eye out and found Bio Zero, a line of “wines without sulfites” from Italy’s Cascina Del Colle.

The Bio Zero red wine is made entirely of Montepulciano grapes, fermented in stainless steel tanks, and aged for one month. The winemaker’s notes describe:

“red berry fruit, complemented by subtle herbaceous nuances and pleasing floral sensations…balanced, fresh, young, with good tannic texture, body and persistence.”

Bio Zero’s white wine offering is made of Trebbiano grapes, also fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for one month. Casinca Del Colle’s notes include:

“…fresh notes of green apple, white flowers and citrus notes…sapid, fresh, balanced, refreshing.”

Whether you’ve been searching for a sulfite free wine, or just looking for something interesting to try, consider picking up a bottle of Bio Zero on your next visit to Village Beer & Fine Wine.
