90+ Cellars Winter Weekender

winter-weekenderThis month our featured wine is a seasonal variety pack from 90+ Cellars. If you’re not familiar with brand, this is a great place to start. 90+ Cellars began in 2009, with the goal of offering great wine at discounted prices. They achieved that goal, by buying excess wine from top rated winemakers.

Our feature is this year’s 90+ Cellars Winter Weekender collection. This box set includes three perfect wines for the season.

Cabernet Sauvignon – Lot 53
90+ Cellars Lot 53 is sourced from an Argentian winemaker, whose vines were originally planted in the late 1700’s. 90+ Cellars describes this Cabernet as having the taste of “uicy, dark berry fruit…followed by a trickle of sweet spice and savory plums.”

Pinot Grigio – Lot 42
The Lot 42 Pinot Grigio comes from Trentino Italy, made from grapes growm at the base of the Dolomite mountains. 90+ Cellars says this Pinto is “Medium bodied with a generous smack of minerality.”

Malbec – Lot 7
90+ Cellars doesn’t sell this Malbec directly. Only available from select retailers, like us! The Lot 7 Malbec is made from grapes frown in the Andes Monutains of Argentina. The wine was aged in French and American oak for at least six months. 90+ Cellars says this Malbec has “Aromas of fresh black currants raspberries and plums with a hint of dark chocolate.”
